Christopher Morris, based in Tampa, Fla., is a renowned documentary photographer who has covered conflict, political leaders, and global news events.

He has documented more than 18 conflicts around the world, including the U.S. invasion of Panama, the Persian Gulf War, the wars in Afghanistan, Chechnya, Somalia, Yugoslavia, and the U.S. invasion of Iraq.

After two decades working overseas, Morris returned to the U.S. to cover the 2000 Presidential election. His chronicle of the political scene during the administrations of George W. Bush and Barack Obama resulted in two acclaimed monographs, My America and Americans.

Morris has received numerous awards for his photography, including the Robert Capa Gold Medal, the Olivier Rebbot Award, the Journalism Award from the Overseas Press Club, two Infinity Awards for photojournalism from the International Center of Photography, and numerous World Press Photo awards. He is a founding member of the VII Photo Agency.

Morris is a graduate of the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale.
